I cannot hear what the maestro is saying but to my ear the vocal tone is unnecessarily heavy and , thus , flat and unmusical , also , there is no "mix" of registration so the poor student sounds like he is  "in extremis " constantly.

It is a lesson in what not to do in my opinion.

 E' un tratto di lezione sul passaggio verso gli acuti nella voce di tenore. La sonorità del cantante è alta e squillante e Melocchi gli spiega come attuare il passaggio verso gli acuti curando di sollevare l'ugola. Le note non sono assolutamente stonate e per chi è del mestiere la spiegazione del Maestro è chiarissima!
